Winiemko’s practice is an exploration of the relationship of the personal to the public, of the construction of subjectivity in relation to the cultural framework — those “things we do” whether they be institutionalized to the idiosyncratic, which can be so commonplace that we often forget how they shape our lives, for better or worse.
