We all know that movement is medicine, and Restorative Yoga is particularly effective at calming the nervous system, creating a deep sense of peace and nudging the nervous system towards parasympathetic tone. This is known as the “rest and digest” system (PNS) , versus the “fight or flight” aspect of the sympathetic nervous system.
