Expand your creative possibilities with Arduino.Expand your creative possibilities with Arduino. In this beginner series, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of wiring, electronics theory, programming, and hardware components. Through hands on exercises, you’ll be guided through a series of DIY projects. No previous experience with Arduino and Electronics are necessary.


This course takes place in 3 hour sessions, once a week over five weeks:
-November 19th, 6pm to 9pm
-November 26th, 6pm to 9pm
-December 3rd, 6pm to 9pm
-December 10th, 6pm to 9pm
-December 17th, 6pm to 9pm
Full Ticket pricing includes your own basic prototyping kit to take home (valued at $125).


Virtual Only pricing does not include materials which must be purchased separately. Virtual participants will be sent a link to a Zoom meeting and a list of necessary materials prior to each class and can participate by asking questions through the chat.

Required:
A laptop capable of running the latest Arduino IDE and Zoom software. Mac users may require a usb type C to A adapter. Participants must be computer literate; they must type a minimum 30 wpm, know how to save and manage files, use an internet browser, connect a usb device etc.
Ages 18+
Duration: 15 hours, split over five weeks.

Is there an age limit to enter the event?
The minimum age for participants is 18 years old.
What are my parking options at MakerLabs?
MakerLabs' parking lot is located on the east side of the building on the corner of Hawks Avenue and East Cordova Street.

Can I sign up for the member rate?
If you sign up for a membership on the day of the class, you'll receive a refund for the difference between the general and membership class price.
How do I cancel or reschedule my class?
Refunds or credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified by email to hello@makerlabs.com at least 1 week in advance of the first class, minus Eventbrite processing fees. No refunds will be provided for late cancellation.
What happens if I show up late?
Please arrive 15 minutes before the schedule start of the class so that it can start on time. Attendees arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be allowed in the class.
What happens if the course needs to be cancelled due to COVID-19?
If none of the classes have started, a full refund will be provided. If any of the class sessions have taken place, no refunds will be provided but the course will be rescheduled and will resume where it left off when it is safe to do so.
