Thank you for your interest in shopping for plants in the Shop in the Garden and Garden Centre. We have reopened both in a limited capacity for pre-arranged shopping timeslots. The Shop in the Garden and Garden Centre are now open 10 am to 3 pm Wednesday to Sunday each week.

Once you select a date and time, you will be able to choose if you would like to visit both or either the Shop in the Garden and the Garden Centre during that timeslot.

To ensure the safety of other customers and staff please do not visit without a confirmed pick up time. This is a new process for us and we appreciate your patience as we adjust to operating with new physical distancing guidelines and enhanced health and wellness protocols.

You must arrive at the beginning of your confirmed pick up time. We ask that you please wait in your vehicle and do not approach the Shop in the Garden or Garden Centre until you are within 5 minutes of your confirmed shopping time. If you are more than 5 minutes late for your time you will forfeit your time.

While on-site please keep at least 2 metres apart from staff and other guests. If you need help upon arrival, please call us at the number noted on the parking signage.

If you are feeling unwell, have a fever or are experiencing any symptoms please cancel your appointment and stay home. If you need to cancel please call us at 604.822.4804.

COVID-19 Mask update:

UBC is implementing a new measure to help limit COVID-19. Effective Wednesday, September 16, 2020, UBC students, faculty, staff and visitors will be required to wear non-medical masks, when indoors on our campuses. This amends the previous policy which strongly recommended the use of non-medical masks in these settings.

The requirement for the use of non-medical masks applies to shared indoor spaces within UBC buildings, such as hallways, stairways, building entryways, washrooms and study spaces, classrooms, common areas in residences and other high-traffic areas.

This new measure is required in all UBC Botanical Garden’s indoor facilities including our washrooms, Shop in the Garden, Administration building, and all other indoor spaces.

Exceptions will be provided for people with underlying medical conditions that inhibit their ability to wear masks. Further details related to the policy, its implementation, exceptions, and COVID-19 Safety Plans will be posted at https://covid19.ubc.ca/.
