At the same time, professional grooming tailored to one’s own gender identity can be one of the most effective and affordable ways to feel comfortable and attractive in one’s own body. Big Bro’s Barbershop aims to be the best non-medical resource to Vancouver’s transgender/gender-variant community by providing customized grooming services without a gendered bias, and by retailing gender-affirming products often sold exclusively within “adult” shops, out of reach of queer youth struggling with gender dysphoria.
