Growing Forward in the Okanagan

The Okanagan Valley, is world renowned as a premier wine growing region. Stretching over 250 kilometers, the Valley is nestled between the Coast Mountains to the west and the Monashee Mountains to the east. The Okanagan lays in a rain shadow which results in a very low average rainfall.

The area is known for its intense growing season – with higher and longer daytime temperatures than other neighbouring regions.

The dry and moderate climate and distinct soil provides exceptional growing conditions for grapes that craft into great wines. In fact, the Okanagan region is home to more than 80% of the BC’s vineyard acreage, and its wineries are consistently awarded in international competitions.
