We value our Health Care Workers and First responders and would like to offer you a 50% off discount off a yearly membership. To redeem this special offer please email garden.info@ubc.ca between 10 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday. Thank you for your service!

As a guest at Nitobe Memorial Garden, both entering and exiting must happen within a 25 minute window that begins at the start of the selected time-entry slot. We encourage you to come at the beginning of your entry time to maximize your time in the Garden. As an example, your time-entry ticket is at 10:00 a.m., although you may enter between 10:00 am and 10:20 am, you must exit the Garden by 10:25 am.

The safety of our guests and staff is paramount, and our booking times are set-up to meet the average visit time of guests, based on past experience. Depending on the volume of bookings at the time of your ticket, there may be room for you to enjoy the garden for a longer stay, please check in with admissions desk upon arrival. We often will be able to accommodate guests wishing to stay longer if we are not at capacity.

We also welcome guests purchasing single admission tickets. To purchase tickets click here.

UBC Alumni can use code "AlumniUBC" for a 50% discount on eligible tickets. Alumni Card must be shown at the time of entry.

COVID-19 Mask update:

UBC is implementing a new measure to help limit COVID-19. Effective Wednesday, September 16, 2020, UBC students, faculty, staff and visitors will be required to wear non-medical masks, when indoors on our campuses. This amends the previous policy which strongly recommended the use of non-medical masks in these settings.

The requirement for the use of non-medical masks applies to shared indoor spaces within UBC buildings, such as hallways, stairways, building entryways, washrooms and study spaces, classrooms, common areas in residences and other high-traffic areas.

Exceptions will be provided for people with underlying medical conditions that inhibit their ability to wear masks. Further details related to the policy, its implementation, exceptions, and COVID-19 Safety Plans will be posted at https://covid19.ubc.ca/.
